12-INCH CHIPPER OPTIONS
Carlton offers a variety of 12-inch chipper models to tackle almost any project.

The Carlton Model 1712 wood chipper provides an ideal balance of capacity, economy, and portability. At just 5400 pounds the 1712 is easily towable by smaller chip trucks. The lightweight and compact size of the 1712 makes it highly maneuverable in tight places.

Carlton Model 1712 incorporates many design features to make it a highly productive 12-inch capacity chipper. The 48-inch by 28-inch infeed opening allows the 1712 to swallow tops with little or no trimming. The 10½-inch diameter feed rollers accept the wood with minimal fuss or wrapping. The industry's largest 32-cubic-inch displacement hydraulic feed motors provide the power to pull and collapse limbs and tops.

Lift and Crush Cylinder provides crushing power when necessary and allows easy access to the anvil.

Digitally Controlled Autofeed monitors engine RPM and adjusts the feed automatically. This system has the ability to start and stop the feed of material into
the chipper based on parameters set by
the operator.

Balanced Chipping Disk. Carlton’s chipper disks are perfectly round (no flat spots like competitive chippers) they are also high speed computer balanced – this
combination provides for an extremely smooth chipping action that prolongs
bearing and machine life.

Integrated Single Manifold Hydraulic System simplifies the system reducing the number of hoses needed and reduces leak points. Variable feed speed control is standard on the 1712.

10 ½" Diameter Feed Rollers
aggressively pull in the material to be chipped. These large diameter feed rollers climb over material easily, pulling it into the chipper with no assistance.

32-Cubic-Inch Feed Wheel Motors
